The Commission submits reports to the Government on an on-going basis. The reports which the Commission has presented to date can be found below:

Recommendations of the Low Pay Commission for the National Minimum Wage (2015).pdf (size 1.8 MB)

The Commissions first report published in 2015 recommended an increase in the National Minimum Wage of 50 cent per hour. This recommendation was accepted by the Government as part of budget 2016 and came into effect on the 01/01/2016.

The Commissions second report recommended an increase of 10 cent in July 2016 and was accepted as part of budget 2017.

The third report of the Low Pay Commission recommended increasing the National Minimum Wage by 30 cent to €9.55 per hour. This recommendation was accepted by the Government as part of budget 2018 and will come into effect on the 01/01/2018.
